I'm from Lecco and I honestly believe this is a hidden gem, even for the people from the surrounding area.
By coming here, you can be sure you'll always find amazing food, not only tasting good but also presented very well.

Breakfast was beautiful each day and although I wasn’t able to have an evening meal there I have been told by locals it is amazing and I can believe it based on breakfast and the awards that have been won by the restaurant.
Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Outside this place is just picturesque and I highly recommend it.

We stayed there for a night, had dinner and breakfast. Food was amazing 😍. The host was lovely. There were so many cute little touches. The view was lovely as well!
Hidden gem! Great food, gault millau recommended since many yesrs, fantastic service. Some rooms have a besutiful view (room 6 for exsmple). Don't tell anyone ;-)
We have a vacation home in Lake Como, Italy and we are real foodies. We have tried many different restaurants but our favorite by far is Da Gigi in Crandola. First of all, it is a beautiful drive from Bellano through an incredible winding road in Valsassina. The ambiance is warm and family orientated and you are greeted typically by one of the sisters who are the hostesses and servers. The selection of food is based on what is in season, but also with ingredients that come from the region. Each dish integrates many different flavours which blend together so well. We typically take 1 antipasta and 2 primi piati’s and 1 secondo piati and share each plate with each other. The wine selection is also fantastic, but I normally lean towards the neighbouring wine region of Valtellina where you can choose from mountain nebbiolo varietals.
At the end of the meal, you can buy some home made cakes that are made by the daughter of one of the owners. Everytime we come to Lake Como (4 times a year), Da Gigi is a must stop for us and well worth the beautiful drive!!!!!
